Laura and I attended the Godlight Theatre Company's production of Fahrenheit 451 this past Friday evening at 59E59. What did we think? Laura loved it and urges all you New Yorkers to go see it. As for me, my review is now up at Science Fiction Weekly.

The sets and designs are a little weird and off, but not too distant from the sixties mod thing. I kind of like the gentle tone of the whole movie and there are several scenes that are quite memorable and striking. Way better than Rod Steiger's Illustrated Man! (I like that one too and one of my wife's inside jokes with me is to say, "These are SKIN ILLUSTRATIONS!" in a mock Steiger voice.)

And I said, "I LOVE LAMP!" Which is totally from Anchorman, which I thought she was referring to in the first place!

Brick Tamland: I love... desk.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, are you just looking at things in the office and saying that you love them?
Brick Tamland: I love lamp.
Ron Burgundy: Do you really love the lamp, or are you just saying it because you saw it?
Brick Tamland: I love lamp! I love lamp.
