Congrats to Tim Pratt!

I'm thrilled that Tim Pratt won a Hugo last night. Paul Melko accepted it, and it was my supreme honor to sit next to Tim's Hugo. Okay, who am I kidding? We passed it down the row and all took turns holding it. Cory Doctorow might have licked it, I'm not sure.

I was disappointed not to win, of course, but we've had a great time this week, with more great times to come today. Congrats to Robert Reed also, and all the winners!

Got your chapbook today from John Klima. I'm excited to read it!

Congrats on your nomination and I hope you continue to have a great time there in Japan.

Japan was great! Thanks for ordering the chapbook, and I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks, Bill! Licking and fondling the Hugo is fine. Having the DNA of several leading SF writers at my disposal will be useful in the future when I need to create a vat-grown super clone to be my ghostwriter.

Can I rent time on your super clone when it's grown?

OK, I tried to post, and it may have gotten swallowed. Somehow the computer forgot it was me and it was all anonymous. So excuse me if something similar shows up:

Peter Watts had commented that at least he kicked "No Award's" ass. You too can hold onto this moment of brightness.

But in the meantime, great job with the latest in a long line of nominations. It's been a helluva year for the story and its author.

Ha ha ha, yeah, both Peter and I have "No Award" on the ropes!

Thanks! And you had a big hand in that great year, so clap yourself on the back as well!

Yeah, I'm disappointed you and Paul didn't tie for the win, but I'm going to console myself with your chapbook, which arrived on Friday.

We did come close to tying for last place!

Hope you enjoy the chapbook!

Awwww, I'm sad you didn't win, but glad you got to touch the shiny rocket. I'm sure you will still have further opportunities to collect shiny rocket and sf writer dna in the future.

Uh-oh! It looks like I did more than touch Tim's Hugo....

But how could one resist such a good-looking trophy!
